Journey To Being A HOBY Junior Staff In 2013: Day 7

HEY HEY HEY!!!! How's it going? Today is my seventh day documenting my journey to being a HOBY Junior Staff in 2013. It has been an interesting journey so far, from school to playing basketball and having a social life. I have found that learning how to use my time wisely will be key in my success. I am very excited that I will be playing tonight, that is if Coach Gilder, decides to let me play. Also, I found the reason as to why we don't have co-op; Ms. Willard hasn't hired a teacher. By the senior meeting, I hope to have an opportunity to speak and present my case for not bullying. If all goes well this weekend, I'll be back at the SAT Math tutoring to brush up on my skills. Until tomorrow, or maybe even later tonight after the game.

Journey To Being A HOBY Junior Staff:Day 5

Well, I know I havent posted in forever, a lot has been going on, good things and bad things. I did okay in Las Vegas, and I got to suprise my grandmother for her 80th birthday before school started. Once School started, I got braces and I am now becoming not only a great basketball player, but a quality tuba player. I am doing SAT Math Prep, and I'll take my PSAT in the fall. I also have racked up volunteer hours, and I believe I have all A's on my report card. But, my car got stolen this past Monday. And even though we found it with minor damage, the robbers still took 25 dollars. Luckily, I am just blessed that no one was hurt, and I got my car back. Hopefully things will get better because basketball season is coming up, and I believe I made varsity. Im excited that I got over my stomach virus, and ill be back at school tomorrow. Well, i'll keep you all updated, talk with yall soon!

Journey To Being a HOBY Junior Staff in 2013: Day 4

Welll, the weekend was okay. I got to play in GASO, a scout or two watched every game. I didn't get in a lot, but I'm happy I got to play in such a prestigious event. I also got a chance to finish some more of my application, and then I got packed up for Las Vegas. I am truly blessed to be in the position I'm in. I am also trying to see if I can do more volunteer work and things of that nature so I can build my credentials up. I am also going to try and get some good practice for my PSAT, SAT, and ACT tests. I am just trying to do something productive everyday, and hopefully my future will reflect that. Thanks guys, and I will probably blog again tomorrow. Here is a picture if the shoes I played in.

Journey To Being a HOBY Junior Staff in 2013: Day 3

Today, it's an interesting day. My boss at UT Southwestern informed me of a major error I made, and now I have to fix things. It's okay, I'm just excited to be playing tonight. I even have my backpack ready, just in case coach wants to meet earlier before gametime. But back to this situation at work, this just clearly shows me how important it is for you to be your own boss. I don't even understand why, but I am going to make the BEST OUT OF IT.  I also have filled out more of my application today, so I should be submitting it by this upcoming monday before I go out of town. I am truly blessed to be at this position! Thanks for reading, and I'll talk with y'all tomorrow.

Journey To Being A HOBY Junior Staff in 2013: Day 2

Hello, this is now the second day of me blogging about my journey to become apart of the HOBY staff. This summer is getting better and better every day. I am going to play in GASO basketball tournament tomorrow, and hopefully I'll get some pictures to put up here. There will be over 400 college scouts there, so if I do any good, hopefully I can get some scholarship offers and try commit to a D1 school.  I really hope I do well, I have been practicing quite a bit. Also, I have finished most of my application to become a Junior Staff, and I really hope they accept me. I feel as if I can be set for letter of recommendations before my senior year! Isn't that fantastic? I'm in the position where I always wanted to be, and hopefully things will workout. Well, I gotta get back to work :D!!!

Journey To Being A HOBY Junior Staff in 2013: Day 1

Well, this is the first day of me blogging about the road to becoming a HOBY 2013 Texas North Staff. I am pleased to inform you that I am currently interning at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas thanks to Mayor Mike Rawlings and Education Is Freedom (E.I.F.) I am also starting to fill out my application to become a junior staff at the HOBY Texas North Seminar next year. Today I also spoke with Miss Gabrielle McBay, the Founder of Crumbs by Elle, and she said I could intern with her! So now I have another job as soon as this one is over, I am truly blessed!!!
